"A little," Karen says, not bothering to hide the fact that it doesn't feel like nearly enough. "Mostly I've just been trying to get as much information as I can — I figure if I do that, something is bound to start coming together out of it — but their government especially seems... worth looking into." She's seen that kind of corruption before. Maybe on the surface, it's easy to overlook it or pretend it isn't there, but the more she finds out, the more apparent it becomes that a lot of the people in charge there shouldn't be. She doesn't really expect to be able to do anything about that herself, but if things stay as they are, people should at least know what's going on. "I don't know. I just know that it's not something I can leave alone."
