"No killing," John agrees, although he expects it goes without saying that he also agrees with her terms. If Dutch ends up in danger or if the men get too close to either of the women, he has absolutely no qualms about ending their lives.

It's probably for the best he sticks with kneecaps, though.

Both the men come at them at once and John's arm shoots out, grabs the first man by the arm, wrenches it back hard. He'd been going for a weapon and John doesn't know if it's a knife or a gun he has concealed. He doesn't care. Either way, he's not going to get it. The bones in his wrist snap as John yanks his hand back hard and the man gives a strangled scream.
