John nods his agreement and he doesn't look directly at Daniel's leg, but he knows exactly what he's thinking. Their lives, both of them, had been irreparably changed by war and he can't speak for Daniel, but he knows he wouldn't be the man he is now without them. Without having lost his father. Without ending up in Iraq.
